When it comes to the steering mechanism on a car there is no margin for even one failure. Hurst is very proud that its Brushless DC motor design was selected and utilized in full production of one of the first electrically assisted power steering systems. Many domestic and foreign manufacturers were competing for this program, but Hurst provided the best performance at an acceptable cost. Not everyone of the several hundred thousand motors that have been produced were perfect at final test, but only good units have shipped to our customer. Not every application requires a perfect product, but isn't it nice to know that your product has been designed by engineers that have achieved that standard.
